Maths Week

Its Maths Week this week at school and we are focusing on all things related to numbers, counting, music, math's problems and challenges, sequencing etc. etc.  Yesterday morning our assembly focused on music and how we can relate music and counting to the beat, to maths.  The children were counting the beats and playing music and singing to help understand how important maths is. 

We have also put up some maths challenges and problems around our playground so that the children can try to work together at playtime to resolve them.  

Our P6 & P7 class are working in pairs to design a math's trail for our P1 & P2 class to help their understanding of maths @ play.
